Five Types of Personal Pronoun
1. Subject Pronouns: you, he, she, they, it 人稱代詞主格
Subject pronouns are used to represent subject nouns in a sentence.
人稱代詞主格是用來代替主語的代名詞
e.g. My mother is a good cook. She always cooks delicious food for us.
2. Object Pronouns: you, me, him, her, them, it 人稱代詞賓格
Object Pronouns are used to represent object nouns in a sentence.
人稱代詞賓格是用來代替賓語的代名詞
e.g. We love our mother, yes, we love her.
3. Adjective Pronouns: your, my, his, her, their, its 形容詞性人稱代詞
Adjective Pronouns are used as adjectives and placed in front of nouns.
形容詞性人稱代詞是用來形容名詞是屬於那人/物
e.g. I like my little pussy, but not your black dog!
Possessive Pronouns: yours, mine, his, hers, theirs, its 人稱代詞擁有格
Possessive Pronouns are used to replace nouns to show possession. They are not to be followed by nouns as they are already replaced by them!
人稱代詞擁有格是代替屬誰人所有的事物的詞。
e.g. This pen is not mine. Is it yours?
5. Reflexive Pronouns 反身代詞
Reflexive Pronouns are used when the subject and object refer to the same person.
當句子中的主語和賓語是同一人時便可使用反身代名詞。
e.g. We have to love ourselves.

Sometimes, even if you know nothing about the grammatical reasons for a particular usage, you get it right because you have memorized the patterns!
